Gratitude and Appreciation

Taking time everyday to be grateful and appreciate the many blessings you already have is essential for your peace and happiness. Too many people have a list of things that they need to do or have before they can be happy. How many times have you said or thought "I’ll be happy when....?"

 

Appreciating what you have now keeps you grounded and living in the present moment. Practicing appreciation allows you to feel like where you are right now is a wonderful place to be. You want to be able to say "I love where I am on the way to some place better".  

 

 


Action


 

  • Take time throughout the day to "stop and smell the roses".

  • Notice what is going right in your life.

  • Keep a gratitude journal.

  • Accept compliments and acts of appreciation from other people with sincere gratitude.

  • Practice just saying "Thank You" without feeling uncomfortable and without adding any other dialog.
