"Just wanted to
tell you I enjoy
the newsletters.
In fact, from
the first one I
made a list of
goals, picked
out a few out,
and are daily
trying to work
towards
accomplishing
them." Y.H.
Decide,
Delegate, Dump
How can you make
the holidays
more enjoyable
this year? First
decide
to
enjoy them!
Decide
to have
fun and enjoy
yourself this
year. Next,
decide
how to
make that happen
for yourself.
What is
important to
you? What
traditions do
you enjoy? Do
you enjoy the
shopping, the
baking, the
parties, the
family get
together?

May Peace Be
With You
During the
holiday season
and especially
this holiday
season, we talk
about peace and
pray for peace
for our country
and our world.
We offer these
words "May peace
be with you" to
one another.
But, have you
ever stopped to
think about what
peace really
means to you?
What would it
look like and
feel like to
have peace in
the world, this
country, in your
life? What needs
to change or be
different in
order for you
to experience
real peace?

Big and Small
Miracles
We have all
probably had an
occasion to
experience a big
miracle or to
ask for a big
miracle for
ourselves or
someone we know,
but it’s the
small miracles
that happen on a
daily basis that
give our lives
the richness we
desire.

Extreme Self
Care
Let’s explore
some of your
beliefs around
the importance
of self care.
Read the
following
statements to
yourself. What
thoughts come up
around these
statements? Do
they ring true
for you or do
they bring up
some of your
core beliefs
that you may be
out of integrity
with. Next, read
the statements
again and
explore the
"feelings" that
you experience
in your physical
body. Do you
feel a tightness
in your throat,
chest or stomach
area when you
read any of
those
statements? This
is your body’s
way a telling
you that you are
not honoring
your core
beliefs.

"Thanks for
this issue of
your great
newsletter.
Definitely words
for all of us to
take to heart
and PUT INTO
PRACTICE" B.S.
Honoring
Yourself and the
Messages You
Receive
The other day, I
spent several
hours trying to
edit the
original
newsletter
material down
into an easy to
read article. It
was slow going
and I ended up
taking several
breaks, but I
just wasn’t
making any
progress. Great
ideas, no flow.
I began to
wonder what was
going on. All
the other
newsletters were
easy to publish,
so why was this
one becoming a
struggle?

Your Heart's
Desire
I’m sure you are
all aware of the
"Make a Wish
Program" for
critically ill
children where
each child is
granted a last
wish. Recently,
I become
involved in a
similar program
that is offered
by our local
Hospice called
"Heart’s
Desire". Each
patient in this
program is
offered a chance
to have their
last wish or
better stated
their heart’s
desire
fulfilled. These
desires can
range from a
simple family
photo, to a trip
they have always
wanted to take.

Perfect is a
Perception
I
recently
received a
newsletter with
the topic "Stop
Trying For
Perfection"
Included in this
newsletter was
this statement.
"We live in a
world where
being perfect is
an accepted
goal, and
anything less
does not measure
up."
My question to
you is... who is
doing the
measuring? Are
you measuring
your success or
are you basing
your success on
someone else's
idea of what is
perfect?

Worry in a Good
Way
Worry does
not empty
tomorrow of
sorrow - it
empties
today of
strength.
Carrie Ten Bloom
Worry In A Good
Way
Think about a
time when you
played over and
in your mind the
worst case
scenario. Your
spouse or child
is late coming
home. You worry
that they may be
in the ditch, in
the
hospital or
worse case dead.
Your imagination
runs wild with
thoughts and
ideas about how
bad things could
be. This
happened for us
when our
daughter began
driving and
that is when the
cell phone, for
us, became the
greatest
invention ever.
Become solution
oriented, not
problem
oriented.

You Have the
Power
I received the
inspiration for
this newsletter
from a friend of
mine. She is
currently
very happy in
her job and
profession, but
at one point in
her life she had
a job that was
a bit of a
challenge as far
as the office
policies and
politics went.

Facing Reality
Does facing
reality mean we
have to accept
it?
I have
participated in
several
conversations
lately about the
issue of “Facing
Realty”.
I believe that
there are only
two reasons to
“face reality”.
One reason is to
look at and
appreciate those
things we have
in our reality
that we like and
want to
continue.

Ask and You
Shall Receive
A
friend called me
recently and
asked to borrow
some tables and
chairs that we
have. She
mentioned that
she was
reluctant to
call and ask me
since we haven’t
seen each other
for several
months.
Has this
happened to you?
You were
reluctant to ask
or did not ask
someone for
something you
knew they had
that could help
you out.

I Have No
Complaints
The week before
Thanksgiving, I
received many
messages about
counting our
blessings and
giving thanks,
but I was struck
by one simple
message I
received.
*Thank you for
everything, I
have no
complaints.*

Discover Your
Life Purpose
Are you
searching for
your life
purpose?
So often we hear
about people who
have experienced
some tragedy,
loss or
significant life
change that they
have turned into
their life
purpose. Mothers
Against Drunk
Driving was
created this way
and John Walsh
of Americas Most
Wanted became
the host of that
show because of
the loss of his
son.
Other people
have lost a
large amount of
weight or have
gotten into
great shape and
have made it
their life
purpose to show
and tell others
about how they
succeeded.

Acknowledging
Others
Recently I had a
retail shopping
experience that
was so out of
the ordinary
that I just
had to take
action.
My daughter and
I were shopping
at a local
clothing store
and we
encountered
a sales
associate that
was so nice and
so helpful that
I actually took
the time to go
onto the store's
website and send
them an e-mail
telling them
about my
experience and
expressing my
desire to
nominate her for
any recognition
that they bestow
on their
employees.
